Massage therapy is an excellent addition to your healthcare routine. helps relieve pain and discomfort, reduce stress, and even help with injuries or other specific problems. Years of training and expertise mean we know what muscles, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments and joints need attention, and what techniques work best for your needs.

Prenatal massage

A massage during pregnancy is a fantastic complement to your care plan. Not only does it help reduce stress, it can help with the various discomforts that can come with pregnancy: swelling, back and hip pain, stiff neck, headaches, and leg cramps. I know how to position your body to keep you comfortable and safe during the massage, and have trained in techniques to serve the special needs of my prenatal clients.

Hot stone massage

During a hot stone massage, we use Swedish massage techniques to help you relax, and ease tense muscles and damaged soft tissues throughout your body. This full-body massage is perfect for Saskatchewan winters, because the smooth, flat stones (usually made of basalt) retain heat as they are placed on specific parts of your body, then used throughout the massage.

Infant massage

Yes, even babies can benefit from a massage. It can help with digestion, relief of pain and tension, relaxation, circulation—and the all-important sleep.

Infant massage instruction

Learn infant massage techniques you can use safely at home. You’ll get all the benefits of infant massage plus a powerful chance to bond with your baby!

This personalized instruction is just for you and your baby with a one-hour session each week for four weeks online or in person. You’ll also get a bottle of oil and a reference booklet to help you remember the techniques.

Manual osteopathic therapy (MOT)

Somewhere between chiropractics and massage, MOT uses hands-on skills to investigate and treat body dysfunctions—considering the whole body, not just where the symptoms are. Using a variety of techniques, such as tough, physical manipulation, stretching and massage, MOT helps mobilize joints, restore soft tissue to healthier states, and release fluids from contested areas to be gently flushed in the direction of drainage.

Physio pilates

The reformer is a unique piece of equipment that uses spring tension resistance designed to work with the most acute and painful conditions up to high level sports drills. ​You will connect with your deep stability muscles of the torso. This foundation will allow you to carry your body in the best alignment possible to ease pain, enhance recovery, challenge endurance, balance, and coordination without increasing tension or pain.

Reflexology

Based on the principle that reflexes in the body map to other parts of the body, reflexology applies pressure to these reflexes to help relieve tension, improve circulation, and support the body’s efforts to function optimally.

Reflexology lymph drainage is an awesome therapy to create movement in the lymph system of the body. This movement of lymph has many benefits for secondary lymphoedema, as well as autoimmune disorders such as allergies, fibromyalgia, MS, sinus issues, asthma, arthritis, chronic headaches.

Reiki

A Japanese energy technique with Tibetan origins, reiki emphasizes the body’s ability to heal itself, physically, mentally, and emotionally. Practitioners gently place their hands on or above various positions on your head and body. The technique promotes relaxation and stress reduction.

Hypnotherapy and self-hypnosis

Hypnotherapy is a wonderful tool to reduce stress in the body. When we are stressed, we manifest blockages in our bodies. Hypnotherapy can alleviate blockages, and eliminate boundaries that we tend to build up over time. Learning self-hypnosis empowers you to manage and maintain your life on your terms.
